Britney Jean Spears was born in rural Louisiana on December 2, 1981, to Jamie and Lynne Spears.

As a child, Britney attended dance classes, winning many competitions and the like.She also liked to sing, and at age 8, Britney tried to join the Mickey Mouse Show, but was turned down due to her young age.

She tried again at age of 11 and she succeed, becoming a member of the cast as a mouseketeer along side many stars of today, as Justin Timberlake (her future boyfriend), J.C. Chasez of N*Sync and Christina Aguilera.

Her big break, however, came in the late 90s when she realized her début album, "...Baby One More Time".

She suddenly became an international star, selling 13 million copies of it, which was followed in may 2000 by her second album, "Oops!...I Did It Again...".

She reached many awards: the Billboard Top Female Pop Artist (singles and albums), Top New Pop Artist, Top Billboard 200 album Artist and Top 100 singles Artist - female. The American Awards, MTV and Teen Choice awards soon began rolling in and in early 2000 she was nominated for two Grammy awards.

In November 2001, she hit the top 10 with "I'm a slave 4 u" which took a completely different turn in musical direction from her previous singles and in the same month released her third LP, self-titled "Britney" which shot to the top of the albums charts, breaking records for a female artist.

However, sales of her third album, while impressive, where not nearly as high as her former releases, perhaps due to the increase of new pop female singers flooding the market, yet Britney, still incredibly popular, carried on.

In 2002 she made her début in the cinemas, with the movie Crossroads which was released in February that year. In the same year her four year relationship with Timberlake ended suddenly.

Britney soon released one of her biggest singles, "Toxic" which topped various charts around the world including the UK and Canadian singles charts. The single was a smash-hit and because of it, she won her first Grammy for the single "Toxic" as Best Dance Recording.

In 2004 she began dating Kevin Federline, a former back up dancer.

In April 2005 it was announced she was pregnant her first child. In September 2005, Britney evolved yet again, this time as a devoted wife and mother, with the birth of her first child, a Son, which she named Sean Preston.

Spears announced her second pregnancy in May 2006, but few months later the born of her second child, she filed for divorce from Federline asking for both physical and legal custody of their two children.

But then, during all 2007 she had a troubled period that everybody knows: strange habits in the clubs, Paris Hilton as best friend, crying interviews, attacking paparazzi with umbrellas, drug rehabilitations, fired managers. Very famous is the episode in which she shaved her head with electric clippers at a hair salon in Tarzana, California.

This lasted until October, when she lost physical custody of her children.

From that moment she released 2 new albums: Blackout's and Circus.

Both were very successful: In MTV Video Music Awards of 2008 she won Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Video Of The Year for "Piece of Me" and she is now on tour all around the world with the Circus Tour.
