Getting bald why would you do that? That's what a lot of people think, at least when a girl wants to be bald.
A lot of people don't understand it that woman want to be bald. They usually think that woman only get bald because they are ill and not because they shaved their own head!!
Why are there still prejudices in the world. It is getting less, but still there are too many!

I can understand it if at some companies/jobs you are not allowed to be bald, this also has to do with the overall opinion of people and what they expect. To be honest I can live with that, but if the opinion of others would change also this will not be a problem anymore.

My next blog. This time about a bald character in Star Trek.
The ones I'm going to talk about today are the Borg. Not the most beautiful creatures of the Star Trek stories, but well worth talking about. They had a big part in: Star Trek: Next Generation and Start Trek: Voyager

The Borg are a fictional race of cybernetic organisms who actually live in the Delta Quadrant. The Borg are humanoid drones of multiple species and are an interconnected collective. They hear eachother all the time, but they know who is who and definitely when the Borg Queen speaks. The Borg Queen is the only one who has an own personality and thoughts and is the centre of the Collective.
The assimilation is never voluntary, they attack a ship and assimilate everyone or kill the person.
Their main purpose is to pursuit perfection, by adding the biological and technological distinctiveness of other species to their own.

Attacking them is very difficult because they can adapt to all sorts of weapons. When a drone is attacked by an phaser on a certain frequency the collective calculates the defence so that the other Borgs won't be damaged by this frequency.

How they look
The Borg have a grey skin colour, several implants and a mechanical, zombie like locomotion. That's how they look alike, but because it are all different species they don't totally look alike.

Choosing a ship
The Borg don't attack without a reason. First they research whether a ship or an area in space is worth attacking. They want it to be weaker in a technical and strategical point of view. Sometimes they make a wrong estimation and they attack a stronger species to assimilate.

The Assimilation
They don't assimilate everyone! They want perfection, so they are searching for species and individuals who can contribute to this perfection. Before they enter, they always say the same sentence: "We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile."
During the assimilation nanoprobes are injected to the body of the victim. This will prepare the body for further assimilation. After the implantation of several systems and the replacement of several organic elements by synthetic one the victim is part of the Borg Collective.

Undoing the assimilation
It is possible to undo the assimilation. When a Borg is separated from the collective too long they can gain back their own mind. This doesn't go easy, it will be combined with anxiety attacks, desperation and the clumsy attempts to calm themselves.
Seven of Nine and Picard were both successfully separated of the Borg.

Here again a blog about a movie, can't help it just really like movies!
This time I will write a blog about The Magnificent 7. It's an American western of the 60's.

For those who don't know the movie:

The Magnificent 7 is about 7 men who are going to protect a Mexican village. This village is raided by bandits, who are led by Calvera (Eli Wallach).
The leaders of the village decide to buy guns. They visit the former gunslinger Chris (Yul Brynner), but he refuses to sell them guns (because they're just farmers) and doesn't want to help because he's just alone. The farmers are quite percisting and Chris gives in and starts recruiting other men.
The other 6 men who are recruited by Chris are Chico (Horst Buchholz), Harry Luck (Brad Dexter), Vin (Steve McQueen), Bernardo O'Reilly (Charles Bronson), Britt (James Coburn) and Lee (Robert Vaughn).

Chico is not accepted first because he's inexperienced and quite a hothead. He keeps following the group and finally Chris allows him to join.

They know that they are outnumbered, but they are willing to fight the fight. They hope the bandits will leave quite quietly. When they arrive the village they start to train the farmers.
When Calvera retures he is disappointed when he sees that the farmers have hired gunmen. After a brief exchange the bandits are chased away. Chico rides with them and goes in the camp and finds out that Calvera is planning to come back and to strike hard.
The 7 are debating about staying or not. Chris wants to stay and they all decide to stay.
Their plan is to raid the camp of the bandits, but when they arrive the camp is empty. Once back in the village they are captured by Calvera's men.
Calvera let the 7 go, because he believes they will never protect those farmers anymore. They escort them out of town and give them back their guns and gun belts.

Chris still wants to go back and free the farmers of the bandits. Everybody joins him except for Harry, he decides to leave.
The next morning they go back, the final battle starts.

A nice sentence of this movie is said by Chris: "Only the farmers won. We lost. We always lose".

Vin: It's like a fellow I once knew in El Paso. One day, he just took all his clothes off and jumped in a mess of cactus. I asked him that same question, "Why?"
Calvera: And?
Vin: He said, "It seemed to be a good idea at the time."

Chris: There are lots of new walls, all around.
Calvera: They won't keep me out!
Chris: They were built to keep you in.

I just love the movie The Italian Job. Baldy Jason Statham is also in this movie! He's playing the role of Handsome Rob, well if that doesn't say enough!! It is true, Jason is handsome, so he was perfect for the role, that's for sure!


I have seen this movie for so many times now and I still love to watch the movie. Not just because of Jason, I can't watch a movie just because of one actor!! The movie has to be good, it needs a story! The Italian Job has that and that's why I like it. There is action, a love story and humor. This combi is perfect. The choice in actors has been very good too. I mean it's a great cast and you don't get that in every movie!! There are some famous people in this movie.

It is nice to see that The Brazilian Job is now on its way! What is most surprising is that most of the actors of the first movies are in it! And that after 8 years, you don't have that a lot of times. It's nice to see the cast together again!!

When you look around you, you can see more people are bald. Actually it is so much easier! Though more women shave their head it is still something more for the guys. To be honest I don't know a lot of bald women, but everyone know that they are there.
It is really brave when you can shave your head bald. For some people it is already difficult to cut of 2 cm of their hair, how would they feel if everything goes off! Honest you need the face to be bald, some people just don't have the face for it. Well even though you don't have it, do it if you want to! Who are we or others to judge? It's your life, you hair, you baldness! Love your life, embrace your life, enjoy your life. It's your and not someone elses. You can do what you want with yourself.
The important thing in life is not to judge. The problem is that judging is a human thing, even if you don't want it you will do it. You can't help that, but don't say your judgement out loud. Keep it for yourself. Say it when you can, when you know someone well enough to say it.

You know being bald is good for you! It saves you time and money! What more do you want
