That is true indeed. I think it's more accepted that men are bald, because that is something that's happening for years. Some men just become bald and I think that's why it is easier accepted.
When people see a bald woman they probably think she might be ill.
Yes, I agree with you Sarasss and Nien..the first day that I shaved my hair I was to visit a friend of mine and she started crying because she tought that I had cancer!!! It was only a new hairstyle!!! Then she told me that I was really beautiful with this new hairstyle but her first reaction was thinking about a disease!!

I think it is important that family and friends accept you in the way you are, bald or not!
